Amy Louise is a counselling sexologist, women’s yoga teacher, and holistic practitioner based in Boorloo (Perth, WA). She is devoted to helping women and womb holders reconnect with their bodies, heal their relationship with intimacy, and cultivate a sense of trust in their own inner wisdom.
Her path began in social work and child protection, where she supported families and young people navigating trauma, gender-based violence, and systemic challenges. These years of front-line experience gave her a deep respect for the complexity of human resilience and the importance of safe, compassionate spaces for healing.
Alongside her counselling work, Amy trained as a yoga teacher and discovered the transformative potential of blending somatic practices with science-based sexology and psychotherapy. She now weaves together talk therapy, body-based counselling, sexology, and feminine yoga practices to create a unique approach that addresses both the mind and body. Her work particularly supports women living with pelvic and hormonal conditions such as IBS, PCOS, endometriosis, bloating, and painful sex, while also tending to the intimate relationships these challenges touch.
Amy believes in moving in and down — slowing the pace, listening deeply, and cultivating body intelligence. Her sessions guide clients through grounding, intention setting, counselling, and embodied yoga to create lasting shifts in self-trust, intimacy, and wellbeing.
Although Amy’s work does currently focus on women, she still works with couples and also offers talk-based counselling if that is preferred.
When she isn’t working with clients, Amy facilitates couples workshops, hosts community events like Viva La Vulva, and writes about sexuality, relationships, and dating for publications in Australia and internationally.
